The goal of the R25 Science Education Partnership Award (SEPA) program is support pre-kindergarten to grade 12 (P-12) and informal science education activities that: (1) enhance the training of a workforce to meet the nation’s biomedical, behavioral and clinical research needs, and (2) foster a better understanding of NIH-funded biomedical, behavioral and clinical research and its public health implications.
The science pedagogics modules in your degree have been designed in close collaboration with the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (who designed the new specifications) and the Junior Cycle for Teachers (who are tasked with associated professional development for teachers). In addition, the course director was a member of the development group that designed the junior cycle specification. This ensures that graduates are thoroughly prepared for the totality of science education in Irish schools which is well aligned with international best-practice.
Asia-Pacific Science Education is sponsored by The Korean Association For Science Education (KASE)Â KASE was founded in 1976 and currently has more than 3,500 members. KASE aims to contribute to the advancement of science education through research and development. To support these goals, KASE sponsors two science education conferences a year and two different journals to help disseminate research findings to researchers, teacher educators, and teachers – both domestically and internationally.
Honours is available to meritorious students, in either Education or Bachelor of Science. Honours in Education requires the completion of an alternative 12 credit-point honours pathway described in the Bachelor of Education (Secondary: Science) table of units. Completion of the degree is required in the minimum standard full-time duration. Fully certified, well-prepared, and experienced teachers were not evenly distributed across schools or classes.
