The Journal of Technology and Science Education (JOTSE) has been created as a contribution to the development and improvement of scientific and technological education by constituting a common space to share experiences to all those who, somehow, are involved in the teaching and learning processes of engineering studies, in all modalities. Which is why we’re committed to creating new ways of using science and education to shape this future through research, collaboration and immersive learning. Stanovich, K.E. (2003). Understanding the styles of science in the study of reading. Scientific Studies of Reading, 7(2), 105-126. You will study education theory and practice which will equip you with teaching aptitudes and skills on which you will build a sound philosophy and approach to teaching.

In order to become involved in education science, you’ll have to familiarize yourself with pedagogy and teaching itself. Ideally, you’ll want to have educational experience at the undergraduate and graduate level in those fields. Once you have that foundation, then you can pursue a doctoral degree program in educational studies and research, or something similar. This is the ideal major for students interested in education science.
Taronga is home to the largest Zoo-based conservation science team in Australia and has been running formal education programs for more than 40 years. Now, students from preschool to PhD will be able to study, explore and be inspired by our growing team of scientists, researchers and wildlife field staff as they pioneer solutions to save species from the brink of extinction.
