The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (Ukrainian: Міністерство освіти і науки України) is the main body in the system of central bodies of the executive power. Section 1, Teaching, consists of five chapters stressing not only how digital projects have broadened our knowledge of the classics, but also how they have recast the role of students and other non-experts from being more or less passive recipients of that knowledge from their teachers into one in which they can now be part of the resource building process.

The Department of Science Teaching at the Weizmann Institute was created in 1968 by Prof. Amos De Shalit. Its main mission is to advance the field of science and mathematics education at large, and to advance science and mathematics education in Israel. A central goal of the department is to develop academic and practical leadership in mathematics and science education.

Primary Connections : Linking science with literacy provides primary teachers with comprehensive curriculum and professional learning resources that link the teaching of science with the teaching of literacy. Delivered by the Australian Academy of Science, Primary Connections focuses on developing primary students’ knowledge, understanding and skills in both science and literacy, through an inquiry-based approach.

In 1996, the U.S. National Academy of Sciences of the U.S. National Academies produced the National Science Education Standards , which is available online for free in multiple forms. Its focus on inquiry-based science , based on the theory of constructivism rather than on direct instruction of facts and methods, remains controversial. 36 Some research suggests that it is more effective as a model for teaching science.

Taronga’s aim is to inspire and educate the next generation of conservation scientists. The Taronga Institute will support the essential need for contextual authentic STEM learning and, together with the wider Zoo sites, will provide authentic, interactive learning opportunities in an environment of working science. The co-location of teaching facilities and research labs will create tangible links between theory and practice.
