The Science Education MA aims to reflect contemporary theory in all aspects of practice in science education: international, formal and informal. The IJRES welcomes any research papers on education and science using techniques from and applications in any technical knowledge domain: original theoretical works, literature reviews, research reports, social issues, psychological issues, curricula, learning environments, book reviews, and review articles. The articles should be original, unpublished, and not in consideration for publication elsewhere at the time of submission to the IJRES. As an open access journal, International Journal of Research in Education and Science (IJRES) does not charge article submission or processing fees.
Generating and evaluating scientific evidence and explanations encompasses the knowledge and skills used for building and refining models and explanations (conceptual, computational, mechanistic), designing and analyzing empirical investigations and observations, and constructing and defending arguments with empirical evidence. This strand also incorporates the social practices (e.g., critiquing an argument) and tools (conceptual, mathematical, physical, and computational) fundamental to constructing and evaluating knowledge claims. Hence, it includes a wide range of practices involved in designing and carrying out a scientific investigation, including asking questions, deciding what to measure, developing measures, collecting data from the measures, structuring the data, interpreting and evaluating the data, and using the empirical results to develop and refine arguments, models, and theories.
In 2011, 85% of public middle and high school mathematics teachers and 90% of science teachers had more than 3 years of teaching experience. This journal aims at publishing two issues a year besides special editions. This scholarly periodical will serve as a meeting space for teaching innovation of the academic community wishing to analyse or observe methodological and pedagogical factors that may influence and enhance the learning experience of engineers.

Digital Technologies in Focus provides support for around 160 disadvantaged schools to assist them in implementing the Australian Curriculum: Digital Technologies. The Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority ( ACARA ) has been engaged to provide specialist digital technologies and ICT Curriculum Officers in these schools.
